Each game is its own story. Origins has a bigger connection to ys 1+2. They make a fun 3 game overall story. Most people might tell you to start with ys 1+2 before origins but I find that origins is a better starting point since it really introduces the world and characters well in s super fun action game. While ys 1+2 are much harder to enjoy.Ys I-II: Steam version, it's the newest and the one Falcom considers canon. III/Oath in Felghana: Right now, the Steam version. If the upcoming Switch port gets localized, maybe that one instead since it's adding a (very small) amount of new content.
